He is particularly well known for his work in international and cross-border employment disputes, having acted for executives based all over the world.

As the national chairman of the UK Employment Lawyers Association, Barry has a very high profile in the field. He sits part time as an Employment Tribunal Chairman and an Immigration Judge. He is also a member of the statutory Wales committee of the Equality and Human Rights Commission and on the panel of ACAS arbitrators and mediators. He lectures occasionally at Cardiff University and is a trustee of Cardiff Law Centre. His publications include "Challenging Racism" (Lawrence & Wishart, London, 2002) and he is on the editorial board of PLC Employment Law.

Barry has a great deal of experience in both training and workplace policies, particularly for resolving disputes through early intervention rather than litigation. He has delivered training to numerous private and public sector bodies on equality and diversity (from investment banks to the police service) and has had strategic input at a national level on workplace dispute resolution. Barry leads our early intervention services.
