Jane qualified as a solicitor in 1996. Since then she has worked as an employment lawyer in the City advising on the full range of employment issues.
Jane joined byrne dean in 2006 from UBS where she was principal employment advisor in London. Prior to that, Jane worked closely with Matt Dean to establish the Employment Law Training team at the market leading employment practice at Simmons & Simmons.
Whilst at Simmons & Simmons, Jane was responsible for devising and delivering tailored interactive training products for both group level training and one to one coaching. She continued to provide practical, focussed training whilst working in-house. Jane’s extensive advisory experience underpins her approach to training. She is interested in helping to prevent problem issues arising and motivating positive change in behaviour through making employment concepts accessible and providing insight into how difficult issues can arise.
Jane enjoys speaking at conferences on employment law issues and is co-author of "Executive Severance", a guide to the practical issues involved in managing termination of employment for senior people.
