Joanna Wade has been a solicitor for 20 years. During that time she has worked both in the voluntary and the private sector in the fields of family, criminal, housing and employment law. She is now a partner at Palmer Wade, a small firm specialising in employment discrimination issues, and is also a part-time Employment Tribunal Chair. She was awarded an MBE in 2002.

Alongside her legal work Joanna has been a trustee of a number of charities and thus has experience of a wide variety of different organisations as an employer as well as a lawyer. She has trained as a counsellor and is a CEDR accredited mediator.
Joanna regularly uses mediation in her practice and additionally has recent experience assisting mediations through CEDR.
