Matt's primary professional focus since 1998 has been on developing and delivering interactive management training products and on the explanation of employment law in an accessible way. Matt's approach challenges individuals and groups to re-think their prejudices, to examine their own behaviour and to accept responsibility for the working environment and relationships that they create and sustain.

His extensive experience of training, coaching and mentoring in 16 different legal jurisdictions over the last nine years has broadened his expertise away from just employment law to encompass diversity and inclusion, human resource management and cultural and behavioural change.

Matt is on the Management Committee of the Employment Lawyers Association where he chaired the Training Sub-Committee between 2002 and April 2006. He is an active member of the European Employment Lawyers Association and a former chair of the Islington Law Centre.
