Jane Kissack

Jane is a member of our Executive Team.  She qualified as a solicitor in 1996.  Before joining byrne▪dean in 2005 she worked as an employment lawyer in the City advising on the full range of employment issues.

Jane joined byrne▪dean from UBS where she was the principal employment adviser responsible for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region and cross border issues affecting the US and Asia Pacific.  Prior to that, Jane worked closely with Matt Dean to establish the Employment Law Training team at Simmons & Simmons.

Whilst at Simmons & Simmons, Jane was responsible for devising and delivering tailored interactive training products for both group level training and one to one coaching. Between 1994 and 2001 Jane was an employment lawyer with the London office of Eversheds, where she was involved in advising on the employment aspects of the creation of the Financial Services Authority.  This culminated in a six month secondment to the FSA, where she continued to advise on day to day employee relations matters.

Jane’s extensive advisory, in-house and international experience underpins her approach to training. She is interested in helping to prevent problem issues arising and motivating positive change in behaviour through making employment concepts accessible and providing insight into how difficult issues can arise. She also enjoys working closely with clients to develop eduational material tailored to their particular needs.

Jane enjoys speaking at conferences on employment law issues and is co-author of "Executive Severance", published by Palladian, a guide to the practical issues involved in managing termination of employment for senior people.
