Victoria Lewis

Victoria joined byrne·dean direct from the market leading employment law team at Simmons & Simmons. At Simmons & Simmons, she was a highly respected senior associate with 9 years' experience advising leading employers on a wide range of employment issues and disputes, and ways to avoid litigation.

Victoria has conducted and advised on numerous investigations into allegations of misconduct and discrimination and handled a wide range of claims in the Employment Tribunal and High Court. She also has extensive experience in assisting witnesses to give evidence including witness training.

Victoria's primary professional focus since 2005 has been to use her extensive experience of litigious disputes in the workplace to analyse where “things go wrong” and this underpins her approach to training and education. Victoria provides practical guidance for delegates through real life examples helping delegates avoid disputes arising in the future and learning how to play a fundamental role in changing behaviour at work.

Victoria is a core member of the investigations team at byrne·dean and uses her litigious and training experience when conducting workplace investigations to address the particular challenges faced by the complainant, the alleged “wrong-doer”, the witnesses and the organisation as a whole.
