Perhaps for obvious reasons we didn’t ask the lawyer who said this about us if we could put their name against the quote. But it is a real quote and it encapsulates how we want to work with progressive employment law teams. 

There will be things that you are asked to do that for a variety of reasons you aren’t able to do or think could be done by someone else.  Someone else who you fundamentally trust to do an excellent job that will reflect well on you.  Someone else who understands the job that you are doing and will be able to communicate accordingly and is non competitive.

Training

There is a lot of client training that employment teams need to do themselves and many teams are extremely well set up to conduct training.  But from time to time you may receive a request or be talking about a client need that you do not feel best suited to handle.  Examples might be: diversity and inclusion, awareness raising for management teams (or the wider population), support on collective consultations, presentation skills for tribunal witnesses. 

We are also regularly asked to help teams formulate their own training strategies and approaches.  We have a great deal of experience of what works in firms and what works less well.  We also may be able to upskill associates and partners in some of these areas.
