21st November 2017 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am
Introduction to Mental Health and Wellbeing at Work
“Despite increased business awareness of the importance of actively supporting health and well-being in the workplace, there remains a stubborn ‘implementation gap’ in UK workplaces, which is threatening individuals’ health and long-term business sustainability.” – CIPD
According to HR Magazine in April, 46% of people felt more stressed at work than they did 12 months ago.
Many organisations have already created and/or implemented a strategy. For those yet to make a start, or unsure what to do, this session will help get you thinking. We will explore:
- What we mean by mental health and its relevance to, and impact on people in, the workplace
- Why employers should be taking action
- A model for understanding and managing pressure and stress at work
- How to develop a strategy in your workplace, hearing about best practices in other workplaces.
There will also be the opportunity to network with other delegates.
