Nadine Simpson-Ataha

Principal Consultant

I'm a practising employment lawyer and former BBC broadcast journalist. My training and experience in both industries shapes my approach to investigations today. I test what I'm told, I notice what's not said (just as much as what is), and, most importantly, my approach to neutrality is instinctive rather than learned.

In addition to working with Byrne Dean, I regularly act for clients in Employment Tribunal litigation. I see first hand how disciplinary and conduct issues unnecessarily escalate into disputes; often because investigation was too slow or not thorough. That dispute can remain unresolved years later with the current state of the Employment Tribunal system. No one's best interests are served.

A focused, targeted and empathetic investigation can change that. When done in the right way, it can help people find a clear way forward to work (or not work) together and help create healthier workplaces for people to thrive. Byrne Dean is a long standing advocate of this and I'm delighted to share my skills for the benefit of those who choose to work with them.
