I help leaders, teams and organisations navigate complexity and change, and repair when things have broken down. With over 25 years' experience as both an external consultant and an in-house OD leader, I've worked across a breadth of regulated sectors: financial services, energy, education, health, policing, and fostering and adoption.
I build rapport and engagement first, then work in partnership with leaders and teams to help them think systemically, attending to strategy and culture, and also to the human ‘here and now’ dynamics that need to be understood.
My focus is on the human interventions needed to get people moving again when they're stuck or paralysed. Whether that's repairing a relationship that's broken down, helping a team find its way through conflict, or supporting a leader through significant change, I bring a distinctive combination of cross-sector experience at executive, team and whole-system level.
I trained at the Tavistock & Portman (MA, Consulting & Leading in Organisations) and hold mediation and conflict resolution qualifications from Birkbeck University and the Open College Network, alongside the Oxford Executive Strategy Programme and a Diploma in Team Coaching (in progress). I draw on systems psychodynamics, Gestalt practice and transformative mediation to help people get unstuck and to build the resilience and momentum that lets real change take hold.
I'm delighted to have joined the byrne·dean team as an associate consultant, and to be contributing to work that's genuinely about creating kinder, fairer workplaces that realise potential.
