After a brief career working at the BBC, I became an employment lawyer 20 years ago, gaining invaluable experience at a leading City firm advising Financial Services clients on often sensitive and high-profile employment litigation as well as a wide range of day to day matters frequently arising out of grievance and disciplinary processes. During this time, I witnessed the significant impact litigation had on those involved, both professionally and personally, and the vital importance of the human and non-legal aspects of the employment relationship became increasingly evident.

During a recent career break, I studied with the International Coaching Federation to further develop my understanding of emotional and conflict intelligence. This experience informs my approach to conducting firm and fair workplace investigations, carried out with warmth, sensitivity, and compassion.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to bring these values to my work as an investigator in the Resolution team at byrne∙dean and to play my part in helping organizations avoid the unnecessary cost and reputational damage so often associated with litigation, and creating kinder, fairer, and more productive workplaces.
